SBIOT360: Easily control and monitor electrical systems remotely

With the new SBIOT360 by ELBRO remote monitoring and control of electrical systems will be easier than ever. This compact DIN-rail IoT controller connects existing installations to the digital world – and opens up new opportunities for electricians in terms of system maintenance and servicing.

Compact technology, versatile possibilities

With a width of just three modular units (MU), the SBIOT360 can be fitted in the control cabinet to save space. Despite its compact design, it offers a wide range of functions:

  • 3 potential-free relay outputs for ON/OFF, pulse or thermostat functions
  • 6 programmable digital inputs for monitoring states and signals
  • Up to 3 wireless BTH1 sensors for measuring temperature and humidity
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE for wireless communication
  • 12–24 V DC power supply and integrated TFT touchscreen

Our practical tip: Retrofitting existing systems intelligently

Not every system requires a complex building automation system. The SBIOT360 allows selected functions of existing installations to be retrofitted. For example, potential-free fault signal contacts can be monitored, or suitable loads can be switched via the relay outputs.

Important to bear in mind when planning: The relays are rated for a maximum of 10 A at 250 V AC. The total switching current across all three relays must not exceed 10 A. For higher loads, suitable switching equipment must be provided.

Remote access instead of unnecessary service calls

A particular advantage for electricians is the integration into the switchButler IoT ecosystem. The web platform makes it easy to configure, monitor and manage customer systems remotely.

Status changes and alarms are logged. Push and email notifications provide updates on events and when normal operation has been restored. This enables specialists to respond more quickly and check the system status without having to be on site for every check.

User management has also been carefully thought through: installers can grant customers access to specific functions. Via the switchButler IoT app, users can access their system and carry out only the commands assigned to them.

Our practical tip: Make targeted use of fault reports

You can use the six digital inputs, for example, to monitor fault signal contacts on a heating system, a pump or other technical equipment.

Define appropriate alarm messages for important events. Adjustable delays help to distinguish between temporary status changes and relevant faults.

Your benefit: You can assess a fault remotely and prepare for a service call in a more targeted manner.

Greater flexibility for your installations

Whether for monitoring plant conditions, remotely controlling electrical loads or temperature-dependent control: the SBIOT360 offers a wide range of applications.

It is particularly useful to link several SBIOT controllers within the same system. This allows inputs to control the outputs of other devices.

If there is no Wi-Fi available on site, an optional 4G+ LTE mobile hotspot can provide the necessary connection.

Practical tip: Monitor temperature and humidity

Temperature and humidity can be monitored using up to three wireless BTH1 sensors. This opens up additional possibilities, such as for monitoring plant rooms or temperature-dependent switching tasks.

The relays can also be used as thermostats with an adjustable set point, hysteresis and frost protection.
