SBIOT360 – the IoT controller for DIN rails
With the SBIOT360 The ELBRO BUTLER family is growing. The new generation of switchButler connects electrical systems to the switchButler IoT ecosystem and enables systems to be controlled, monitored and managed remotely.
The compact IoT controller requires only 3 mounting units on the DIN rail and acts as the interface between the on-site installation and the digital world.
From a local installation to a networked smart system
In many installations, conditions have to be checked on site and switching operations carried out manually. With the SBIOT360, this information and these functions are also available remotely.
The controller detects the states of the digital inputs and controls via three multifunctional relays connected devices and integrates BTH1 wireless temperature and humidity sensors.
About 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi The SBIOT360 communicates with the switchButler IoT ecosystem. Among other things, Bluetooth LE is used to connect the BTH1 sensors.
This means that commands, messages and historical data are available centrally – regardless of whether the responsible specialist is currently at the plant.
One system, two targeted approaches
For professionals and operators, the web platform is available. Here, you can configure and monitor systems, as well as manage users, events, links and data histories.
Users access the switchButler IoT app to their system. They can view the information relevant to them, receive notifications and can only carry out those functions and commands that have previously been authorised for them.
This ensures that responsibilities are clearly defined: the technical configuration remains the responsibility of the relevant specialist, whilst users can access the functions they require in a simple and controlled manner.
A real-life example
The temperature and humidity in a plant room are to be monitored. At the same time, it should be possible to switch on or off a connected ventilation system remotely as required.
A BTH1 sensor measures temperature and humidity and transmits the readings wirelessly via Bluetooth LE to the SBIOT360. The controller also monitors the connected input signals and can control the desired loads via its relays.
The specialist monitors the system via the web platform and can adjust the settings as required. The operator can view the values and functions authorised for them in the app and receives relevant notifications directly on their smartphone.
In this way, a traditional electrical installation can be transformed into a networked and remotely manageable system with a manageable amount of additional work.

Matching accessories
BTH1 – wireless temperature and humidity sensor
The BTH1 measures temperature and relative humidity directly on site and is paired with the SBIOT360 via Bluetooth LE.
4G+ LTE Mobile Hotspot
If no Wi-Fi is available at the site, the mobile hotspot provides a local Wi-Fi connection for the SBIOT360 via the 4G+/LTE mobile network.
Connecting rather than just switching
With the SBIOT360, ELBRO is expanding the BUTLER range to include a state-of-the-art IoT solution for electrical installations. Recording statuses, controlling loads, monitoring measured values and retrieving information remotely – all within a single, integrated system.
The SBIOT360 integrates the electrical system into the switchButler IoT ecosystem – compact on a DIN rail and easily accessible via the web platform and app.
